how dissapointing
a couple years ago dave took me to the butterfly place in branson MO. it was wonderful! less than $10 a person and there were a couple of parots in the atrium, i remember it being magical. so i recomended that my family go there. well, there is no more butterfly place. now it is the butterfly palace. huge from the outside. the gift shop forier area is beautiful. its about $20 a person now with the tax added. there's also a neat 3-D movie about the life of a butterfly which i did thoroughly enjoy. but then we went to the atrium. the room is smaller than the one in the old building and because its only been open for about a month the plants were very staged. i remember the other place feeling much more natural and sort of wild and overgrown....just wonderful. but this new room felt steral. i was very disapointed. but i know my nieces and nephew had a great time anyway. the butterflies are beautiful as well as plentiful. so if you don't mind that price and just love butterflies then by all means go for there are pleanty of them, but i'm going to give it another couple years.....perhaps by then the greenery will have filled out and everything will feel less forced. - Razi Manzuma , posted 06/25/06
